As the title suggests, just need to know if this will cause any problems, haven't really worked with any size discrepancies like this before but i don't want to buy brand new compression fittings, and i can only find 3/8" or 1/2" ID tubing that i can use. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated! redface.gif

It will probably be a really snug fit, but it should work. Pop a little JetDry on there to lubricate it before trying to put it on to make it a bit easier.

I think you need to know what the O.D. of the 3/8" I.D. tubing is.

The 7/16" compression fitting means it accommodates tubing with a 7/16" outside diameter. Some enthusiast 3/8" ID tubing has a 7/16" OD. The tubing itself has 1/32" walls in that case, which is pretty thin.

You really need to check the specs on the tubing you plan on using.
