Compatible?

Thread Starter
I'm planning to get this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833122478

and

http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-TL-WDN3200-Wireless-Adapter-300Mbps/dp/B007ZWL1ZE/ref=sr_1_7?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1374560520&sr=1-7&keywords=dual+band+wireless+adapter

I see that the router says the 5ghz is 802.3/3u/3ab but the adapter says IEEE 802.11a/n, are they still compatible or do I have to find a different wireless adapter?

If they both support 802.11a/b/g/n then it should be fine, 802.3 is basically ethernet, where 802.11 is wireless.

It works but to make the most out of your router, get an adapter that is also at least 750mbps and dual-band.
