Help is my board or graphics card messed up

Thread Starter
Hello all just recently built a new pc a little less than 2 months ago and today while playing a game
suddenly the pc crashed the power light started blinking and i get that nice smell of burning something.
I switched off the power supply and prayed it wasnt fatal. When i plugged in the power supply again
i everything suprisingly started to come alive but no picture. I check everything in the case and the fan
on my graphics card wasnt spinning, i powered down and back up and for a second the fan on the card
started to spin but stopped, i tried another pci slot and the same happened. I luckily found an old vid card
that would fit the board and the fan on it spins but still no picture could there be not enough power going
to the cards? The msi motherboared has 4 leds that show cpu phase and 1 3 and 4 are on but not 2
Reset CMOS jumpers and nothing.
I dont have anyother way to check the graphics card or cpu if that is the problem can someone offer
any advice.

Corsair CX500W PSU
AMD 6100 FX CPU
MSI 970A-G46 9 Series AM3+ mobo
MSI Radeon HD 7750 2GB PCIe graphics card
Crucial 8GB Ballistix kit DDR3 1600
Seidon 120M Liquid CPU Cooler

Burning smell might have been the power supply, I'd avoid plugging it in before it cause more damage
