Mageia 2 - eth0 & eth1 won't start

Hey guys,

So I'm in a bind and I hope some of you can help me cause I haven't touched Linux in years and ofc this server I have to set up for work has to run Mageia 2.

My problem is this, after installing Mageia by following a manual everything starts up fine except the 2 Ethernet cards of the server.

Checked the ifcfg-eth0 & ifcfg-eth1 files and both are configured properly.
But whenever I try to "ifup" one of these 2 interfaces, I get the following error:
Code:
RTNETLINK answers: No such file or directory
ERROR: [etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifup-eth] Failed to bring up eth0

So I decided to check /var/log/messages

And I get a ****load of spamming with the following line:
Code:
bnx2: Can't load firmware file "bnx2/bnx2-mips-09-6.2.1b.fw"

So from that I gathered that Mageia can't load the card firmware for the NICs. Now my question is, where is that "bnx2" directory supposed to be found? Coz I tried finding it but to no avail...

Edit: Nevermind, managed to solve the problem by reinstalling Mageia

maybe the firmware for the cards you have weren't included with your install image. Also, just incase, could you post the ifcfg-eth0 and 1 configs?
