critique build & bonus questions

Hi all. I am upgrading to haswell. I will be switching the mobo, ram and cpu and add a couple of hdds. Below are the specs:

MOBO
Asus SABERTOOTH Z87 Intel Z87 Socket 1150 Motherboard
- 188.24 - 5 years guarantee is the selling point for me. Unless some1 has had very bad experience with this, I will stick with it.

CPU Intel CPU i7 4770K - 272.60 - again I will try to reach a tolerable 24/7 overclock with my current cooler.

RAM Corsair Memory Vengeance Performance 16GB DDR3 1866 MHz CAS 9-10-9-27 Dual Channel Desktop - 123.79 - I believe the dual channel memory is what haswell uses. Went for 1866 as there wasn't such a big price difference with 1600mhz. I prefer 16gb as opposed to 8. Please let me know if it is not appropriate.

SSD OS Samsung MZ-7PD128BW 128GB 840 Pro Series Basic - 106.94 Apparently the best budget ssd. I will have one Vertex 3 for games. The 840 will be for OS and drivers. Nothing else.

HDD storage Western Digital 2TB Red WD20EFRX SATA 3 Hard Drive for NAS 24x7 - 83.04 This seems to be a reliable storage hdd. Should I prefer something else? I am not using raid of any kind. Will the NAS specification for this HDD affect me as a home user?

I am covered in terms of PSU, GPU, audiocard, additional SSDs and HDDs. I will be using the prolimatech megahalems as my cooler which according to the company rep works fine for 1150 if it is rev b and above.

3 questions in total:
1. Is the ram appropriate? If not, which are my alternatives?
2. Is the SSD a very solid and fast choice? If not, sugggestons?
3. Is the HDD appropriate?

Many thanks guys! I appreciate it. I will be assembling it end of July.

1. The RAM is perfect.
2. The SSD is pretty solid, however I would recommend the 840 pro if you have the cash. Also the 840 evo will be out sometime next month if you can wait. That should be the best option. I do however have the standard 840 and like it.
3. Red drives are not designed for home use. Pick up a WD black.

Thanks!

I believe that it actually is the 840 pro.
For the hdd, what is a good, reliable 2tb hdd l? Speed is not particularly important...

oops my bad, it is. That will be perfect then.
Try to see if you can find one of these in 2TB near you. http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=760
IF not this will work well also http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=780

OK, thanks.

I will go for WD green then for the storage drive.

Can someone else also confirm the build is decent enough? I will be pulling the trigger soon...

that looks good.

Corsair vengeance ram is not great for overclocking but if you want to stay at 1866mhz they should be fine.
