Rattling noises [mp3] - Page 2

Quieter than fan noise? thinking.gif Let me see.. fan noise loud... rattle soft.. loud drowns out soft.. doh.gif

Your sound clip is barely long enough to diagnose if it was just on recording. Looping it 3 times in 19 seconds means you only recorded 6.3 seconds..

I'm out of here. biggrin.gif

bad fan bearing? use your finger to press down on the center of all fans in the computer. if it stops as the fan slows then thats it. my 6950 had this issue sometimes where the fan bearing would rattle intermittently. putting pressure on it or letting centrifugal force do its thing (increasing fan rpm) made it go away

Did you want advice? opinions? Because it doesn't seem you are listening to either.

will be doing this, thanks srsparky

@doyll i had more recording but chopped out the part where the rattling is the most obvious and looped it 3 times so you get 3 chances to notice it before you have to hit replay if you didnt

sadsmiley.gif

@Latrakx if this is about your remove components method, i really want that to be the last resort here, if all else fails ill do that
