I honestly agree, it doesn't look too bad...But who the hell thought it was a good idea to say "Remember that product we made a while ago that failed and still gets joked about somewhat often? We're remaking that/reusing the concept!"
It just goes to show that MS' marketing department is out of touch with that they should be doing...As if the Surface ads didn't already, they shouldn't be talking about Bob at all.

That was Bill Gates, not MS.

it just kind of underlines how ms may experiment or mess with things, but their implementation is pretty questionable. "you know that assistant we had? kind of like siri or google now, but not comparatively useful at all and with a lot of pointless, frivolous additions." it's like he wants to emphasize that ms "was there first" despite the fact that they are basically just following apple and google in reality

Indeed, but MS should be more on the ball with PR in general.

That said, they're hardly the worst company at PR and the like.

Yeah, that's what I've noticed...They have great ideas a lot of the time but then screw up the implementation.
Take Win8s Start Screen for example...Great idea (In theory) but forcing it on desktop users wasn't a smart idea.
