Quite. For a rather technologically advanced nation no one really cares for building systems and high-end gear; theres only one true computer shop here and they hardly ever have processors in stock and typically only carry gpus that don't need external power.
If something is available here its at least double what it costs almost anywhere else in the world. I never buy locally if I can avoid it, import almost everything.
I know that feel. I mean, over here in El Salvador one of the few "worthwhile" GPU's on sale is a GTX 470, and it's being sold for $440. No unlocked CPU's as well, hell, 775 GPU's are still on demand here since they're cheap, and the most popular GPU is the HD 5450. I also believe i'm the only one with full watercooling in the country
