Greetings OCN,

Introduction
This will be my 1st build log of such a scale, and while I don't have a name for it yet, I'll be sure to update that before I'm done. I'll be using a Cooler Master Cosmos 2 I found on Craigslist for $100. The previous owner had attempted to do something great with it, but apparently got cold feet. As a result, I was handed a dusty Cosmos 2 which had spider webs inside it and an attempt to mod the front panel with a window (See Image Bank A below). Thank god, besides the window there were only some small dings and scratches to the case, all of which will be fixed/modded in this log. Its also missing a 5,25inch slot cover, a couple drive sleds and almost all PCIE brackets. No worries, for $100 I can't go wrong.

Image Bank A Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Concept
CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 100

The goodness - Hardware to go inside the build

Water Cooling
1 240mm 45mm thick Alphacool Nexxxos Radiator
1 360mm 60mm thick Alphacool Nexxxos Monsta Radiator
CPU block with 2x GPU blocks - need to decide on what brands
Swiftech Fittings
I don't see myself cooling the memory, but who knows
12 Cougar Vortex PWM Fans, all motherboard BIOS controlled.

Hardware
Disclaimer: I'm not planning on putting in the latest-and-greatest, primarily because I refuse to support Intel with their efficiency-oriented Haswell and Ivy upgrades. As a result, I'm keeping my i5-2500K along with EVGA z68 FTW.
2x GPU's (either 7950's or Nvidia equivalents)
Seasonic 850w power supply
Dominator platinum memory
SSD, HDD etc etc etc.

Theme
Black and white, on EVERYTHING. Including the red accents on the mobo.

Phases
Since I work 40-50 hours a week, travel sometimes and I'm going on vacation in August, I'm going to split this up into a timeline, if anyway along the road this build goes down the pooper I'll let you guys know.

Phase 1: Case Modifications
Start Date: Immediately
If I can't manage to succesfully rotate the mobo tray, this project is bye bye, as I'll just toss the whole tower in the garbage and go from there.
Key Tasks: Removing mobo tray, rotate mobo tray, fix case imperfections, cleanup the general mess and make this new again.

Phase 2: Case Painting gonna need help picking white/black paint areas for best contrast!
Start Date: September 1st
Key Tasks: Determine what is getting painted, and what isn't. removing all rivets, paint and assemble

Phase 3: Watercooling Layout: Radiators, pump, res
Start Date: October 1st
Key Tasks: Figure out best configurations for radiators, pump and res. Mock-up paint radiators!

Phase 4: Install Loop minus 2X GPU blocks
Start Date: November 1st
Key Tasks: Since it's my 1st watercooling build,I'm gonna start with the CPU block only.

Phase 5: Install GPU waterblocks
Start Date:Late November (Black Friday)
Key Tasks: Purchase GPU's, add to loop.

Final Phase: Touch-up and final thoughts

Miscellaneous
Custom-length wires for fans, PSU
Cable sleeving: white MDPC sleeving. (color subject to change)

jesus removing rivets can be mind-numbing. used an impact drill with 7/64 drill bitt

thank god I got the mobo tray and the PCI assembly off without bending any metal or breaking anything.
The foam cutout I have attached on the 2nd image is the exact size of the motherboard i'm going to be using.

I could afford to cuto ff the last two PCI slots, as I have no need for 10, and i'm going to need some space for the radiator out the back.
