z78 Gene Vs Sniper M5? matx only

Which to go for? I really don't care which I get but either or really decides the theme of my build which doesn't matter to me (grey/green or grey/red/white). I don't have much preference aside from using a gigabyte mobo right now that I know never gave me issues.

I currently use a titanium hd sound card so having the sniper would be better.. but both are supposed to have better than normal onboard audio so maybe using the soundcard is moot anyway? I was planning on buying a external amp/dac eventually so it doesn't REALLY matter right now but thats like last on my parts list.

I'm planning to watercool and won't have room for a fan controller, do either of them provide enough support to run 4-6 fans directly from the headers?

The ASUS has 4 extra fan headers thats including the CPU_OPT as one of them, The Sniper is the same.

They did. It's x4 as on sniper. It's just not a full size one.

based on my experience with dealing with Asus, get the Gigabyte.
