in all honesty, hyper212 biggrin.gif

people tend to forget haswell uses less power then a 2500k smile.gif if the 212 had no problems cooling a 2500k then it shouldn't have a problem cooling haswell.

the "problem" with haswell is the thermal density. thermal density becomes a TIM problem, NOT a cooler problem. the 212 is more then capable of cooling haswell if you delid the haswell and replace the factory goop with a good TIM. NOT that i'm advocating that you delid your expensive chip. just saying the underlying issue behind the high temps is NOT a cooler problem.

plenty of info on it here

well, my point was pretty much any decent quality cooler can handle haswell even the lowly 212 smile.gif there are plenty of low profile coolers that are superior to the 212 such as examples from noctua or thermalright. other alternatives include silverstone and scythe. that have decent low profile units that can fit under the height limitation.
