Raid 0 help

Thread Starter
Hello everybody!

This is my first time ever posting, but this site has helped me out numerous times in the past. My current problem is that I'm trying to configure raid on my HP h8-1030 (mostly as a learning experience as I've never setup raid before). I set the bios to raid, then I went in and actually setup the raid 0 (used two 1.5tb hdds). I then went to install windows 7 home premium onto the raid array, it recognizes it as a 3tb partition, I go through most of the installation and then when it's at the point in the install where it's just doing windows updates I get a message saying that windows cannot continue and will restart installation. I've been searching the internet for hours and haven't been able to find a solution, so any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

You're trying to install to an array that isn't there yet.

After you set up the RAID 0 array, reboot, so the BIOS can find the newly configured array. THen continue with the installation.
