I was away from my PC yesterday. I'm downloading Afterburner now and will use that to clock my 6950 to 6970 speeds and see what that does.

I will also try benching with 3dmark11.

Edit: I have unofficial overclocking enabled but when I set the clocks to 880/1375 on the 6950 my pc crashes.

Well I got frustrated with 8.1 so I did a clean install of 8.

It still took a while but I managed to get the 6950 clocked the same as the 6970. It improved my results and I guess I am happy with it.

My last 3dmark run scored 6467. I still need to get my cpu overclocked a little more.
