Steam: What the heck do I do with these "trading cards" that keep building up?

Like the title says...

What good are these "trading cards" that keep piling up in my Steam account?

I have no idea what they are for.

Thanks.

Craft badges or sell them on the marketplace.

The badges give you some XP toward your steam profile.

sell em on the steam market for a few cents each.. eventually youll have enough for a new game!

trading cards are something steam started recently... you can collect a set and make badges... gives you experience and levels up your steam profile. if you dont care for them, sell em! biggrin.gif

Gather entire sets and craft them into a badge for xp/sales coupons/aesthetic things for your steam profile.

Or sell them on the market for a few cents per (anywhere from $0.05 to $0.50) depending on the card.

Also, once you exhaust your card drops for a certain game they will put you in a pool to be randomly given a booster pack. The drop rate depends on your steam level (20% for level 10+, 40% for level 20+, etc). You can usually sell the booster packs for a couple of bucks on the marketplace as well depending on the game.
