Not really. Phones are more than phones these days. If all you want is to make calls and sms then yes keep that phone for years and years and years. As soon as you do anything else beyond you see the benefits of newer technology. Even if you just call, and text you will see a benefit with faster mms with LTE vs HSPA+. Everything becomes smoother with a better cpu/gpu and software. My Nexus 4 is miles ahead of the old Skyrocket I had and less than a year separates them.
I think we are starting to get to a point where mobile devices are finally leveling out where this is less discernible difference year to year though.
I think there is as much e-peen going on with computer hardware as there is cellphones it's just a matter of perspective.Edited by cavallino - 7/25/13 at 5:39pm
