Wow, personally I am very excited for this mouse since the Ninox Aurora was the only decent thing on the horizon. Now there will at least be 2 options. I am gonna have to disagree with Skylit about Roccat being a good gaming company. I always saw him hype the Savu as the best sensor on the market currently in threads.
I had already bought a Kova+ in the past, and it was complete garbage. The skates were too tall, felt like they were made out of coke bottle plastic, didn't glide. The sensor felt very off and had a tiny delay at 800dpi/1000hz (but not as bad as Krait 2013 input lag/smoothing). I bought a Savu hoping it would be different, but it pretty much just as bad.
The Savu had excellent glide, but the sensor was screwed. Their 800 DPI feels more like 700 DPI. The input for the mouse also feels cooked or overprocessed is the best way to describe it. It doesn't feel anywhere near as good as a G400 at 800DPI / 1000hz.
If the Savu felt identical to a G400, I would be using it instead of it sitting in the closet, but the facts are, it feels inferior. It reminds me of the experience I had with the Xai vs Sensei. The Xai is the best laser mouse I've used (minus the switches being too stiff). The Sensei input felt much more cooked or processed than the original Xai. Any real gamer probably wants a more raw and precise feeling such as found in the original MLT04 Microsoft sensor.
