I think it's still the PSU.

I'm still hoping it's the PSU. Wish I knew how to diagnose the PSU like the technicians do with the VMM or DMM tool? This is driving me crazy and paranoid. I had a feeling before I set it back to stock that I was better off leaving it alone.

I've been real busy with research and questions in the PSU section. Would hate it if I wasted peoples time. Motherboard issue would likely result with the end of me and the still good socket 775.

If you really want to manually check the PSU, then it's pretty easy to do. But it's possible you won't have the equipment to do it.

What you basically need to do is measure the voltage (e.g. with a multimeter) while you apply a load to the PSU. Each PSU has its own set of specs for each voltage and rail, and you can then go through and manually test each to see if they conform to those specs. My guess is that they do not.
