From the sounds of things, you dont need anything more than the formula. save the money, dont get the extreme

Just get the RIVE and be done worrying about it. It's the best x79 board period.

For now it was the NH-D14 from Noctua or the H100 / H100i ....

But im not sur if the H100 will fit well in my case and all so I guess I will go with the NH-D14 .

It will fit but I will need to remove my top 230mm case fan and this will probably mess up my general air flow in the case ...

If you're going with a D14 or h100, go with whatever board you want... neither will necessary perform well enough to reach max overclocks the chip is capable of.

Besides if this is for a gaming rig as you say you're not going to notice the 100Mhz difference in overclock difference between RIVE and the Sabertooth. The 5 year warranty of the Sabertooth may be worth more to you in the long run.
