Sapphire 7970 OC with boost waterblock?

hey guys all I am wondering is if this card has a water block that can be installed on it. This is the card with the blue PCB non reference i believe with Dual X cooler

I had the exact same cards with the exact same dilemma. Any block that covers just the GPU itself should fit without a problem. Full-cover blocks won't work with it though. There are two capacitors near the front of the card that will get in the way. Just stay away from full-cover blocks and you'll be fine.

Awesome job man. It's a compromise but it looks like it is working for you. The only questionable part is the o-ring. It's too close for comfort for me, but when you're stuck between gpu only vs fullcover, what you did here gives ppl a good fullcover option. thumb.gif

Well, you've mounted the block and tried it, does not escape or drop of water, temperatures simply spectacular, with no standard vga pass me going the 3DMark11 38th, and crawling up the voltage to 1.25 V and the core and memos 1200/1700 MHzs, the maximum temperature is 41 ° both in the core and in the VRM's, very happy.
