What's up everyone? So I'll be travelling to the US to visit a friend and my father asked me to buy him a computer.
On his own words: "12” to 14” screen , lighter than your PC (lenovo Y470 14'', 4.85 lb), used for excel, Word, internet, youtube, internet, online banking OR just suppose you're buying yourself one and has a budget of US$ 499 to spend" (plus he does like watching movies on the computer, he uses mine for that sometimes lol)

What is your maximum budget?
Brazil (where I'm from) has a limit of US$ 500 for electronics whenever we come back.. so I sort of want to stick to that value because otherwise stupid taxes are applied.

What country are you in?
Will be buying in the US

What will be the uses of this laptop?
Used for excel, Word, internet, youtube, internet, online banking OR just suppose you're buying yourself one and has a budget of US$ 499 to spend (plus he does like watching movies on the computer, he uses mine for that sometimes lol).

Do you have brand loyalty or care which brands we select for you?
Like: Lenovo. Love my Y470, no problems at all after 1 year usage. My father asked me about Dell as well.
Dislike: Me and brother had HP long ago. Had a load of problems.

What screen size do you require?
Between 12" to 14''

What screen resolution do you require?
Doens't matter

Are you looking to buy NEW or would refurbished/recertified/used be okay?
New

How long should the battery last? (Under optimal conditions, no movies/games/heavy internet)
I don't really know, but good battery life is a BIG plus

What games would you like to play with your laptop? And on what settings?
No games.

What operating system do you need? (if any)
Windows 7 or 8

Is there a certain style of laptop you want? (aluminum, black, gaming, etc.)
Less than 5 lb laptop

How much hard drive space do you need?
At least 200 GB

Do you need any special hardware? (blue ray, webcam, specialty ports, etc.)
HDMI, webcam, mic

Thanks guys! thumb.gif
