Sounds like those shaders may have actually been defective.

There's no 'guarantee' for unlocking 6950's, just like there isn't for unlocking CPU cores.

You do realize that a 6950 is a 6970 that didn't pass the factory tests and was purposely and willfully identified by AMD as a 6950 for that reason alone, right?

Sometimes (10-15% of the time, maybe) you can re-flash a 6950 and it will work visually as well as a 6970, but I can assure you that some portion of the GPU is not up to reference standards. It might be just one shader unit that is a little flaky and not manifest itself as a visual artifact, or a GPU compute function that didn't work quite right.

If yours doesn't work well as a 6970, then keep it with a 6950 flash and be happy.

i noticed that my Gpu fan speed in default work at 40%,, if i increase it into 50%-60% you think it will couse damage?

did you not unlock the shaders on your bios and try that way, you never know the core or memory may not be able to take the increase especially since the memory is different.
