EVGA GTX 760 vs 560 TI Questions

Thread Starter
Folks,

I'm thinking of upgrading from an EVGA GTX 560 TI OC to an EVGA GTX 760 Superclocked (links below). I have a few questions:

1. My 560 TI OC sounds like a jet engine during heavy gaming. Does anyone know how the fan speed / noise of the 560 TI OC compares to the 760? Note that the 760 I'm looking at has an ACX cooler (which I'm not entirely familiar with). I REALLY want to reduce the fan sound coming from my card.

2. All the reviews I've read suggest that the 760 will provide a 75% + performance increase over the 560 TI OC. This is exactly what I'm looking for, and it's in my price range. Can anyone with first-hand knowledge confirm or clarify this?

links to actual cards:

760
560 TI

Any other advice / observations about this upgrade would be appreciated.

To me, it looks you have your future card picked out for what you want. I upgraded from a 560ti to a 670, and that was about twice the performance. Since the 670 is a tad faster than the 760, you can expect that 75%+ more performance. As for the cooler, I haven't used an ACX cooler, but I'd image it's quite close to my Asus dcuii cooler on mine, and that thing is silent even on full fan speed. It seriously is WHISPER quiet, and temps are at most high 60s.

Get the 760, you won't be disappointed! thumb.gif
