xspc x20 750 pump stopped working ...

Hey guys I have the xspc x20 750 bay res and the pump just stopped working. I have only had it for about 1 year and 2 months and it was never ran without water. How long do these usually last? Anyone else have any issues? I just got done rebuilding my loop right before it broke frown.gif
I talked to performance pcs where I bought it from and they talked to xspc about the warranty but they will not replace it or help with the cost of a new one since their warranty is only 12 months rolleyes.gif
Should I buy the same one again or is there anything a lot better that would be around the same price ($60) or maybe a little more. Just want to get my computer running again.

what is wrong with this one? And what would you recommend that isn't expensive? I just don't really have the funds to spend 100 on a new pump

Excellent (and cheap) pumps can be had here: http://bmaverickddcpumps.wordpress.com/buy-ddc-pumps-here/

Then you just need a top, which can also be had for pretty cheap:
EK DDC X-Res Top

Good luck!

EDIT: I have both a pump from him and a similar model top (just bigger); they both work great, and bmaverick is a pleasure to deal with.

wow thanks! So whats the difference between this pump and the one that was in the xspc x20 750? I am assuming this pump doesn't have speed control?
Also would I be able to just get a top like this: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/16914/ex-pmp-204/EK_DDC_X-Top_CSQ_Pump_Top_-_Acrylic_-Laing_DDC_Swiftech_MCP350355.html#blank
and then just use my xspc x20 as a res? I only want to do this because I might want to just get a different separate res later on. Also what res top do you have?

In Martin's tests of pumps in series, when he turned one off, there was little performance drop, almost none, but he tried with different pumps. I would get the EK combined res/top. As for maveriks' pumps, I've read that they are a bit noisy (unmodded), but I haven't use any. If you want to go cheap, the EK solution is the best one. Or get a MCP35X-H top (best DDC top) and a swiftech MCRES micro reservoir that you can change later on since it's cheap.

Pump: $35
Top: $30
Res: $25

$90 + shipping...

I thought about using the XSPC X20 as a reservoir as well, but I am not sure how much restriction the inactive pump within the reservoir will add to the loop. As for the difference, the DDC pump has more power, but yes, it does not have speed control. That top would be fine.

This is the exact top that I have:
