Best memory For 3930k + Rampage IV + NH-D14 ?

Hi everyone im currently building my next rig and I wanted to know what is the best memory that will fit best in my future build ? GAMING RIG

CPU : i7-3930k ( I will overclock it )

GPU : Dual GTX 780 SC ACX SLI

Motherboard : Rampage IV Formula or Rampage IV Extreme ( didnt choose yet )

Cooling : Noctua NH-D14 SE2011

So my question is what kind of memory will fit under my big NH-D14 on a Formula or RIVE ?

And with the best performance and stability ....

Also wich frequency do I really need ?

And is the 1.6 volt too much for this setup ? I heard that the 1.5v is the more stable for this .

I only need 16GB not more and what do i need between 4X4GB and 2X8GB ? what is the best ?

Thank You guys wink.gif

Get anything that is 2133MHz Cas9, and that fits under your heatsink. 1.5v or 1.65v doesn't matter, you won't hurt the cpu.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007611%20600006073%20600006142%20600006157&IsNodeId=1&name=9

Your cpu has a great chance to push 2133Mhz memory speeds.

I wont hurt my cpu but i heard that i need to activate some options in my bios to get the 1.6v working and stable . as the 1.5v no need for all this ...

not sure if its true tough ...

Thank for your reply wink.gif

EDIT : If i got with what you said I come up with this memory :

G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133

CORSAIR DOMINATOR GT 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133

The G.Skill will fit under my cooler but not the Dominator I will need to remove the heatsink of the memory.

The G. Skill is good memory and the price is right.

I have the very same GT's and they are a very stable set of ram.

Edit:

Here is another set of G. Skill memory, they are red:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231690

http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-2133c9q-16gxl

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 80

Even cheaper at $156

Is the color only the difference betweem them ? or something else too i think the timing is different and in the features they dont say that it is compatible with 2011 socket ...

It's compatible. Just like the Samsung wonder ram. they only come in dual channel kits, but people with x79 bought two kits to run quad channel.
