Have fun with it OP. Yes PSU you could have done some more research as well as the cooler I don't approve but hey it is your first build. You'll learn from it, I hope smile.gif Keep us updated on the build process and some pics! And to reply to something you said earlier : I don't think windows 8 is the new vista. Never had Vista so don't really know the problems but I like wndows 8. But windows 7 will do fine, played it safe. An ssd really shines in windows 8 though wink.gif (from what I've heard, never used 7, but cold boot it is so damn fast in 8.)

my win 7 pc boots to full desktop including my crazy uefi bootloader in like 20 seconds. win 7 is no slouch. win 8 is garbage comparable to it. have to install 3rd party programs in order to get win 7 functionality out of win 8. its meant for touch screen pcs, but guess what its hard to justify it on a regular led monitor that's not touch screen. OP enjoy your pc.

-_- if you want to mention something bad about windows 8 don't mention boot times... my windows 8 laptop boots in literally 5 seconds. Windows 8 desktop takes over 20 for sure. Both on simliar SSDs...

I like both. Although I do admit that for 8 I install start8 since I love the start menu even if I'm using windows 8 on a touchscreen laptop.
