I more than agree. Personally I think Bliz is in a world of trouble. We all know all their eggs are in the wow basket and it's declining rapidly. Real money AH lost them a lot of support and now they're putting a real money "Pay-to-win-esque" Clothing / experience boost shop on a subscription based game. Tells me they're hurting for munnies. Not only that but they've scrapped Titan and re-made it from the ground up, it almost seems like Bliz is flamboyantly throwing around money in-house without a direction to head into. Lets face it, what is their "World leading portfolio" ? Diablo, Starcraft, Warcraft. Since 1994 they've been riding on the coat-tails of these 3 Ip's ( Starting with Warcraft in '94 ) and they haven't changed really all that much since Warcraft 3 back in '02. Starcraft 2 was disappointing as was Diablo 3 and as for World of Warcraft .. the less said the better.
They need to take chances on new things. I mean, if they did have 8 mill subs @ £8.99 per month that's at least £71 mill a month ( From those numbers that we do know ) in reality it's probably a lot more than that given those numbers are more than likely the west only. I know they have their card game "Hearthstone" and their MOBA "Blizzard all stars" in the making with Titan, but it's all still those 3 franchises.. I guess they believe they can do no wrong with the re-hashing of the same old things.
Great potential for them but they're too focused on the money now for my liking.
