My DA 2013 arrived, what do I do now?

Thread Starter
I finally have a new mouse after weeks of deliberation, the packaging is amazing which is standard for Razer and the mouse is is perfect working condition and feels great.

What's the best way to go about setting it up software wise?
Should I install Synapse 2.0?
Are there any settings I need to change to remove any acceleration or smoothing?

Thanks in advance biggrin.gif

I guess you plug it in, install synapse, configure it to your liking, and optionally (preferably?) remove synapse. Yeah.

I purchased a DA 2013 yesterday, but I quickly found that I could not rest my middle finger on the right mouse button without accidentally depressing it. For that reason, I'm returning it. I was also incredibly put off by the fact that internet is REQUIRED in order to access mouse settings, at least for the first time.

But, if it works for you, that's what matters. I'm just really disappointed that I spent 60 bucks on a mouse which requires internet and also requires me to actively keep my finger elevated off the right mouse button at all times lest I accidentally press it. I'm trying a Zowie EC1-eVo next.

You get used to that within a week.

The RMB thing? I talked to my brother about it (he has a R.A.T. 9) and he said the same thing - that I would get used to it. His mouse is even worse than mine in that area but he really likes it. Maybe I should give it a chance.

if you're enough of a masochist you could mod your deathadder with huano switches, theyre stiff enough to avoid accidental click

Yep, he's right. I had the same problem when I first tried the Storm Spawn. I got used to it within a day or two.
