Resolution wrong, cinnamon taskbar doesn't show, help needed.

I installed the most recent drivers from AMD. I really shouldn't have. As soon as i turned my laptop back on today the resolution is only 1024x768 (should be 1366) and the Cinnamon taskbar disappeared, leaving a white bar that covers any window I slide to it like the taskbar would.

Clicking in the areas where the buttons would be does nothing. The shortcuts on the Desktop still work.

I'm running Linux Mint 14 and my graphics card, which I believe is integrated (don't really understand much about laptops at all), is a Mobility Radeon HD 4200.

I got the drivers from http://www.techlw.com/2013/01/install-amd-ati-drivers-in-ubuntu.html.

I changed no settings in Catalyst. I have access to the Terminal, and through it, to Firefox. I have access to two USB sticks, one 16 GB, one 32 GB, both at about half-full. I have no no other removable media.

How do i revert the drivers or otherwise fix this mess? I don't really want to just 'clean slate' the computer, it's got quite a bit of data and programs installed on it ( more than the USB sticks will hold).

If you can get to the terminal like you say you can, then you can install the proper video drivers from the Mint/Ubuntu repo with no problem.
