Why does flash need so much clock?

Watching any kind of stream or video involving flash causes my GPU to clock up almost to full speed and get fairly hot. Why does adobe do this? I can turn off hardware acceleration but then I get strang flickering. I know my GPU being a constant 50c isnt a big deal but it heats my room a lot in the summer.

it's just your gpu going to 3d mode, not neccesarily mean it's being used at 100%

Thats not the issue. The issue is it clocks up, causes heat, and makes my room almost as hot as gaming. Its annoying and im paranoid about leaving my gpu running flash if I fall asleep with it on. I know the long heat times wont even hurt it but I'm paranoid.

It seems more on live streams than just like youtube. My GPU gets very hot when I watch on twitch.tv. It almost instantly jumps to 50c with near full clocks and no load. What is the reasoning behind this?

Maybe set clocks/ voltage at minimum using MSI Afterburner if you watch flash? If you game reset it back to stock again.
