So, I ran SSDLife for the first time in a while..



Is it possible for that to be correct? wth.gif

Based on drive health, I'd estimate between 75,000-128,000GB worth of writes. Try using CrystalDiskInfo to see if it reports more accurate stats. I think SSDLife is probably just reporting incorrect SMART values or not converting them properly to GB.

I don't get the data read column under throughtput.


But here's my reading.We have almost the same ssd.

That's normal given your uptime - just around 4.6GiB writes per day. If drive health from SSDLife is accurate, it seems like your SSD has relatively high write amplification, though. Hmm, can you post a CrystalDiskInfo screenshot?

No you don't. He's got a Samsung 470, I believe that's Samsung's first generation of consumer SSDs. There's bound to be some pretty significant improvement in terms of controller and firmware between that and the 840 Pro.
