Gaming Rig on a Budget $600-$800

Thread Starter
Well a friend of mine who loves gaming and computers but really knows nothing about the internals of it all is asking my help for building his new gaming rig! I was happy to help out and quickly began to throw together a couple pricing options on pcpartpicker. His price range after seeing how much computers can cost tongue.gif Comes to around 650-800 (With a very strong lean twords the 650-700 range) So this is what iv come up and wanted some feedback on the rig!

Budget
650-800

What he uses it for
  • Gaming (Specifically Planetside 2 / BF3 / Upcoming ps4 games)
  • Art/Photoshop (Heavily)
  • Browsing

Here is the parts iv picked

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/selk22/saved/1FIw

I will be building it for him and give him a stable OC on the CPU and GPU then ship it out to him.

Thanks for the Feedback!

Yeah I think I will look for a cheaper case, like you suggested! (I have experience with the Rosewill Challenger and find it to be nicer than the one posted) Good find on the combos and discounts! Thanks for the help

I would only reccomend an fx 6300 if you are going to overclock. Otherwise a locked i5 would be a better option.
