Want the ASUS VG248QE - Amazon doesn't ship to AUS :(

I would love to purchase the ASUS VG248QE
In Australia, they have it for around $400 AUD on eBay and I figured I could find it cheaper
I have never bought anything from Amazon but they have it for $250

Of course going from $400'ish to $250, I immediately wanted to get my mother to help me order and pay for it

I was having a good day, until she pointed out in the product details: Shipping: Currently, item can be shipped only within the U.S.

So, I need it to get to Australia, Victoria, Melbourne.......is there anyway possible to get it shipped over here?
Or am I doomed to pay around $400 on eBay?

Other Information:
My current screen I use for my computer is my Samsung 22" 16:10 with a resolution of 1680x1050 (I think)
I am currentlyusing the HDMI cable with my GTX660ti 2GB OC Gigabyte

I have learn't that I need a monitor capable of reaching high refresh rates, in order to recieve the full expirence of High-FPS

Some brief estimations from memory of FPS I can reach on the following these games witout Vsync
Dayz 40-80
Minecraft 100+
Walking Dead 200-400
Grand Theft Auto IV 50-80
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas 50-90
Need For Speed Most Wanted I believe it was 120 not too sure
Cod 4 Modern Warfare I cannot recall

^^^Again all are just a rough idea of the varying FPS I am getting from what I remeber.

And from going 1680x1050 to 1920x1080 the FPS might decrease....

There are websites that will buy it for you and ship it to you, a quick google search would give you a list, you can get it for $470 on PC Case Gear: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=558_1212&products_id=22711&zenid=5b7642d484e2d5d08c8653a0658b4645
Though that is even more than ebay. I think the websites that ship it too you do charge a large fee though

Have you looked into any korean 2560x1440 monitors? If you are planning on dropping $250 you may want to look into them as they are gonna be only about $75-$100 more than that. They also have been fairly decent at overclocking to higher refresh rates, many people can reach 120Hz, I personally reached 110Hz with the packaged cable. However not everyone's overclocks as well. PLS Monitor Club.

Thanks for the input but pretty pointless info if it costs me more than what I could get it for ~$400
Again, thanks.

No I have not looked, and running a 2560x1440 rresolution would be a struggle for my GPU - even though I could set it to lower resolutions for gaming....

I Forogt to mention one purpose I want this monitor is for this: "Zero motion blur LCD!!! (nVidia LightBoost hack, looks like CRT, looks like 480Hz)"

I miss the CRT screens all FLat Screen TV's have this motion blur I think its described as and I find it extremely annoying.

Also I look at the The Korean PLS Monitor Club and it said in the FAQ bit: "Many users, myself included, have noticed motion blur during FPS gaming" which I DO NOT WANT.

SO, anybody reckon there's a way around to get the monitor off amazon and ship it to AUS? Or its not meant to be frown.gif
