Power supply adequate?

Thread Starter
I have a Sapphire 6750 I was thinking of adding to my system for F@H and BOINC, not 7/24/365 usually just for a couple days during foldathons or BGB events.

my concern is if I need to increase my power supply to handle it.

My system:

ASUS M5a97 R2.0
FX-6300 @ 4.2, 1.375 vcore
Sapphire 7850 1050/1250 (stock volts)
1-SSD Intel X25v
2 HDD
Corsair H60i
4 120mm fans, 1 140mm fan
Sunbeam fan controller
Corsair CX430

I punched all the components into the power supply calculator here http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine and it tells me minimum 387w, recommended 437w. The Johnny Guru review indicated no problems getting the rated power out of the power supply http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story4&reid=214

So would this be pushing it too close?

It will work, but only just. I would upgrade the PSU to 500W ASAP if you put that 6750 in.

I wouldn't suggest it for 24/7/365, but with your intended usage, it should be okay.
