Asus HD7850 Stable with gaming, crashes while mining

I am incredibly new to the overclocking in general, but have played with CPU overclocking before. This is my first attempt at a GPU overclock and for gaming, It is doing very well. However mining on the other hand, the driver will crash after about 20-30 seconds. Why would this be?

This happens because your gpu overclock is not 100% stable. Drop your core clock till you have no issues/crashes.

It doesn't matter what you do. For example it's possible that you will have crashs in some old game like Quake 3 while your OC wokrs pretty well at Far cry 3. Of course most of time GPU-Intense games will show issues more often. But it doens't have to be the case.
Just lower your OC a bit and you're fine.

Thanks, I dropped the Core down to 1.1 even and still get the same MHZ during mining as a did with 1.112 and now everything seems to be OK. Ran the miner all night without issue, now to run Heaven for a good 45 minutes + on a loop to make sure everything is stable.

Anything else I should look into?
