Hey folks!

i have just come to the end of the line with my new motherboard... its pretty much annoyed me so much im going to get another new one

I want an Asus, has to be LGA775 but i dont know which chipset (or which board, for that matter) I should get.

Anyone got any idea's?

For roughly £100

For Overclocking, steer away from the P5B Vanilla.

You ought to be able to get the P5B-Deluxe for what you are willing to spend.

Please do some reading on the P5B-D's stock BIOS issues (pertaining to overclocking and power on). The 0711 BIOS will cure that malady.

so the P5 DeLuxe is a good board? i have a P5GDC now and its broken, im sure. (read the thread IDE help with the P5GDC, near the top of the Intel Mobo's list) so is the P5-D better than the P5-GDC?

Cheers,
Andy

Yes, the P5B-D is a great Oc'ing board.

I have no experience and little reading knowledge of the P5-GDC, so I am not qualified to comment on a comparison.

But... The P5B-D is awesome. It has been complimented over and over again, to the point of being annoying.... but there is a reason.

I love mine.

NOTE: No full SLI (x16 / x4)
