How well does Powerline work? - Page 2

Powerline works pretty well with my wiring, but then again my wiring is all shielded and my house was zoned as commercial space when I bought it.

Also the wiring is all 8 Gauge, rated for 40 amps.

I've got a 70 year old house with I assume totally bottom-barrel wiring by modern standards, but I've got a few D-link powerline adapters keeping my basement connected quite nicely. I don't remember specific speeds, but It's totally adequate for 1080p Youtube etc.

My house is from 1856, but the wiring is shielded, which I find pretty unusual.
