Configuring 4670k BIOS

Thread Starter
Well last time i dealt with an Intel system was with my Q9550. So i'm going to need a little help cause i'm outdated redface.gif

Currently i have all the power saving settings disabled, C1E, C3/C6 state, and EIST. Less i'm missing some.

Here are the settings for some reason when i log in Coretemp and CPU-z are reading the clock at 3.8ghz which is 400mhz over stock. Here are the settings.

Performance Boost: Auto
CPU Base Clock: Manual
Host/PCIe Clock Frequency: 100Mhz
Processor Base Clock (Gear Ratio): 1x
Host Clock Value: 100mhz
Processor GPU clock: auto
CPU Clock Ratio: 34
CPU Frequency: 3400mhz/3.4ghz
CPU PLL Selection: Auto
Filter PLL level: Auto
Uncore Ratio: 34
Uncore Frequency: 3.4ghz
Turbo Boost Technology: Auto as well as the Turbo Ratios

XMP Profile is disabled but i have the memory running at it's default 1866 9-10-9-28/2T

System
I5-4670K
Gigabyte UD3H z87
GSkill Sniper series DDR3 1866
EVGA 750B
Asus DCII GTX 580

Seems with the power saving modes disabled and the turbo frequency left on it elevated the clock to a constant 3.8ghz. With boost off it's at 3.4.

There's really no need to disable the power saving features, they don't cause any problems with overclocking. There's a big Gigabyte Haswell thread here:
