Lol true, I guess I can wait it out and see what the early adopters say before planning my decision.

A 770 is just an OC'd 680, a normal 7950 or 670 are much better deals: 90%-95% of the performance for 70%-60% of the $$.

Depending on what you play and how much you can get a 580 for, SLI might not be such a bad idea... 1GB VRAM at 2560x1440 isn't really a problem for me, and in the 1 or 2 games where it is a problem, tweaking an INI or turning down AA / other settings fixes it. Driver headaches are a pain, but again, that depends on what you play.

You can wait the HD 9950 and buy the GTX 780 ( in case the price drops in the near future).

I've had a GTX 460 and I could play Battlefield 3 , Crysis 2, Crysis 1, Tomb Raider, Metro 2033 with good framerates and good graphics with 60fps (1080p).
I bought a used GTX 570 and sold my GTX 460 ( this happen 3 months ago) and I need to say I'd prefer wait the next gen and bought a new video card for example a GTX 760.

This's just my opinion... Wait next year and use your GTX 580 to the limit biggrin.gif

The only game that can changes my mind is Battlefield 4 in this year. If the game can run between low-medium with good graphics and 60fps at 1080p I can wait next year.

just use your 580 and wait for better deals for a single card at the end of the year or next year.

also, 2x 580 has more power consumption, you also might need to change to a new power supply since i think your 600w psu wont be able to handle two 580s, and if this bugs you, two cards usually gives more noise as well.
