Need to upgrade motherboard... Is this a good choice?

Hey all, I've been trying to overclock for a long time but I've been using the cheapest possible motherboard ever since I bought my CPU, and it struggles any time I overclock.
I'm looking at getting a new mobo that will also be compatible with an AMD FX processor if I decide to upgrade in the future.
I just found this one at microcenter...
http://www.microcenter.com/product/395441/M5A99FX_PRO_R20_Socket_AM3_990FX_ATX_AMD_Motherboard

If you look, there is an open box one for $73. IT says "incomplete : board only" meaning it doesnt have documentation or the metal "cage" or "panel" that goes around the IO ports on the rear.
Would you still say this is worth it? I don't have a whole lot of money to spend, but I want to be able to push my 3.6ghz Phenom 975 to 4ghz (I have a Hyper 212 Evo with push/pull but the mobo has been limiting me)

If you have $40 extra bucks to spend I would suggest this

Uh... No offense but did you actually read my whole post?
The M5a99fx had an open box one availible for $72 that I was going to get. I wasn't going to get a new one - the price difference is more like $100, as such.

Anywho, I went by and picked it up, the description said "Board only" so I was expecting it to be just the board in an ESD bag - I was wrong.
It was the board and all it's original packaging, all original accessories and documentation, including IO port - except it "only" had 2 SATA cables instead of 4. EVERYTHING else was there.
Popped it in and got everything set up, and when I tried to boot it was giving me bluescreen, and Win 7 repair wasn't working, so I just reinstalled Win 7 completely (didn't have much to lose anyway) and it's all working great now! Once all my drivers and essential programs are in, I can't wait to start overclocking! smile.gif

I am interested in this as well. I also saw this MSI 990fx board:

http://www.frys.com/product/6677784?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG

Is it any good? I am currently using a GA-970-D3, and it overclocks okay, but I am worried about the VRMs and MOSFETs overheating. (they are not heat-sinked).

I have seen deals on this ASUS as well. The best Sabertooth deals I have seen are refurbished for $140. Is there a decent AMD board for less than $185?

I am using an MSI 990FXA GD80 and it is a big upgrade over my last board, a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3. No VRM overheating and a much better bios. Currently running an FX8350 @ 4.6ghz all day every day.
