Yup, you would definately need a 1155 motherboard. I wouldn't get anything too pricey as it is only an i3. I'd pair it with something like a Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H. It's a mid range board with some nice features, which you would be able to OC with if you eventually get your hands on a 3570k or 3770k.

i'm not goin 2 upgrade my processor soon. But a mobo upgrade is necessary. So please suggest some gud worth mobo for ambient gaming in LGA 1155. (wish to upgrade my gpu to a GTX 660 or HD 7850 in future according to my budget)

What's your budget & where are you buying from? And why do you feel a Mobo upgrade is necessary for an i3 ?

That UD3H would be wasted with an i3 which is locked & the Z77 chipset is intended for unlocked K-CPUs.

A better decision would be an H77 or B75 chipset .

i'll be buying from indian sites like flipkart or snapdeal.com. Z87-GD65 cost abt 14300 INR(abt $245). Any mobo below this amount is accepted. My current board is having some overheating and gpu detection problems, so i wish 2 change the mobo.

This GB P75 seems like a good deal and it's ok for your current setup, but it only supports CF, no SLI support.
