I wish 2 upgrade my mobo from current Intel DH61WW to MSI Z87-GD65... Is it perfect 2 go with this LGA 1150 or should i go with any 1155 socket mobo ?
Current confign :: Gskill RipjawsX 4gb ddr3 1333MHz
Core i3 2100 3.1Ghz
GTS 450 2gb ddr3 (upradable 2 a GTX660 or HD7850 as per my budget)
CM HAF 912 side panel window
Seasonic S12ii 520w PSU
Please suggest if any mobo or other changes needed... Thank u...
Yup, you would definately need a 1155 motherboard. I wouldn't get anything too pricey as it is only an i3. I'd pair it with something like a Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H. It's a mid range board with some nice features, which you would be able to OC with if you eventually get your hands on a 3570k or 3770k.
i'm not goin 2 upgrade my processor soon. But a mobo upgrade is necessary. So please suggest some gud worth mobo for ambient gaming in LGA 1155. (wish to upgrade my gpu to a GTX 660 or HD 7850 in future according to my budget)

i'll be buying from indian sites like flipkart or snapdeal.com. Z87-GD65 cost abt 14300 INR(abt $245). Any mobo below this amount is accepted. My current board is having some overheating and gpu detection problems, so i wish 2 change the mobo.

I was under the impression that he would want to upgrade his CPU soon, didn't see his second post
