Thread Starter
Hello all. I have just found out about downsampling and i wanted to try it out but I cant get it to work..im using AMD Downsampling GUI and when i click Erstellen and then try selecting the resolution i want to use. 2560x1440 and click ok. a cmd window pops up giving me this "ERROR; ADL_Display_ModeTimingOverride_Set<> Failed; Press Enter to continue..."
I tryd googling for an answer and found a fourm and further down the thread it said to download a custom monitor inf file and update the monitor in desktop properties advanced settings, monitor and then restart the computer. i tryd doing this and still the same problem happens..dose anyone on why this could be or how i can get it to work. im using an HDtv with a res of 1920x1080

Try using the custom resolution utility to add very specific, custom specifications to your computers reference data relating to the monitor in question:

I know nothing about down sampling, but there's a solid place to begin.

You can only use 12.11 up to 13.2 but for 13.2 you have to force install drivers on top of the 12.11's.

They REMOVED this feature for newer drivers 13.3(+) on purpose when someone asked them on twitter they responded.

I haven't tested it on 13.2, but I can vouch for 12.11 because it worked for me.

So just uninstall both your Catalyst Control Center and your AMD Display Driver.

BTW if your monitor says preferred mode 1920 x 1080 after you apply the 2560 x 1400p then you have to use a custom driver which can be made using these tools. Monitor Override.zip 951k .zip file
