6350's really just binned 6300's!?

Thread Starter
AS the title, was wondering if 6350's are just binned 6300's? On paper it looks like it to me, and from a business perspective it would make sense but all forum feedbacks I have read seem to indicate that 6350's are the worst chip! Doesn't overclock aswell!

Maybe its just the threads I have read.

But anyhows, just got a 6300 and I don't think its one of the good ones. 1.488 volts for 4800mhz, not really bad but... a bit of a pain to pass Vantage at 5ghz. I was under the impression these chips were not to fussy at 5ghz.

Its making me think that since the release of the 6350 'all the good ones are binned now'!/

So, im still in a window to return the 6300, and with an offer on the 6350's, makes it pretty much the same! If I do the swap, is there more chance of a better chip out of a 6350 than a 6300? Are the 6350's really binned 6300's!?

They are both the same with no architectural differences a part from clock speeds. The FX6350 may overclock 200Mhz more than the FX6300 but there is no guarantee. 4.88Ghz seems to be good. These chips get hot fast. What cooler are you using? Fill is your sig rig. Need details, like what mobo your using.

I honestly don't think there will be much of a difference between the two, getting that extra factory overclock wouldn't be hard out
of any of the 6300's as far as I'm aware. The three chips I have overclocked have almost effortlessly hit 4.0 on almost stock voltage,
One did have a massive issue getting over 4.8(as apparently many do) but getting the stock 6350 speeds should have been effortless
for them, leading me to believe that there would be no difference between the two.

Architecture's the same. They've got different clock speeds, and I think a higher TDP, but that's pretty much it. Might OC better, but each case depends on the chip, memory, and other factors as well.
