Gaming/Video Editing/ WS Build Help

Hey guys, I am currently in the process of building a new computer and needed a lot of help picking out some of the key components. Right now I am a little stuck between 3930k and low end motherboard and a 3820 with a very top of the line motherboard. I need 4 way sli compatibility, lots of sata connections and im hoping for an internal usb dongle, as well as the most pci e 16x lanes as possible. Can you guys recommend a good high end board as well as a good mid range ($250) board?

Very good boards these! Believe me, the only difference which is overclocking, only the ASUS RIVE wins which RARELY gets 100MHz more.

EVGA X79-FTW 5 PCIe 3.0 4x SATA 3GBPS 2x SATA 6GBPS
Have your pick between these!

Recommendation: UP4.

Now to the ultimate high-end:

Have your pick here too!

Best features: Extreme11.
Enough features, best overclocking and beast looks: Rampage IV Extreme.

What I recommend? I recommend the UP4 and the 3930k, as I have the P9X79 Pro ($300). I used ASUS Auto-Tune and got it to 4.7GHz H100i no sweat.

Plus, why would you need all of that? 4-Way SLI is stupid, where it's max 10fps better than the already 120+fps 3-Way SLI, and CrossFire isn't a good idea at the moment.

All of these SATA cards? Get a PCIe 2.0 RAID
card and go bananas there.

All these PCIe ports? What are you going to do with these? SSD's? Hi-Speed humping machines? Nipple twisters EXTREME?

Anyways, good luck!

Really helpful thanks! I think ill go for the 3930k and the up4 or something along that priceline (i really wanted the p9x79 deluxe but its gone now) but ill probably wait till Ivy-E and see if there are any more mobos coming with that release.

Sorry so late a reply, but try the P9X79 pro. It's a total beast. I have it. Awesome.
