An overclocked 4.5Ghz i5-4670k will pull around ~150w (This article from Bit-Tech shows the i5-4670k @ 4.6ghz pulling 162w)

Keep in mind that is power draw at full load. And that is only considering two of the components in your build. You'd have to add another good 30-40w in power consumption for the rest of the components in your build. Putting you a tad bit past the 450w mark.

Yes, gaming loads won't put you @ the full load power consumption mark, but you are really pushing it with a 450w PSU.

I'd honestly recommend at least a 520-550w PSU if you can fit it.

He will be fine.. in both those tests they measured at the wall. Factor in 80 percent efficiency and hes golden. Bit tech is system load not only cpu.

From guru. Mind you that the system wattage is measured at the wall socket side and there are other variables like PSU power efficiency. So this is a calculated value, albeit a very good one.

Bit tech. However, for the power consumption tests we re-enable everything in order to get a real-world power draw. The power draw is measured via a power meter at the wall, so the numbers below are of total system power draw from the mains, not the power consumption of a CPU itself. Measuring the power draw of any individual component in a PC is tricky to impossible to achieve.
