Rosewill stallion series 700w?

Thread Starter
So i know this is not a great quality psu but i got it in a bundle from newegg with my other parts.

FX 8350
XFX 7850 double d
ASUS m5a97 le r2.0
8 gigs of Corsair XMS 1600s
Hyper 212 +
Rosewill stallion 700w
1 TB seagate baracuda
Samsung 840 non-pro

My whole pc has been just shutting off randomly, no BSOD,and i have to turn the psu switch off for a couple seconds then back on before i can boot the pc. Did 3 passes of memtest on my ram, motherboard has visual defects, and hard drives are fine.

To the main problem. The big fan is bringing air into my case, but there appears to be no air flow from the back. I did the paper test but nothing. I can clearly feel that air is coming out of the psu into my case. There also does not appear to be a fan in the back of the psu.

Any ideas on either problem? Hardware monitor is showing pretty good temps, but to be safe i put bios at default , and stopped overclocking. Turned the ram back down to 1333 as well. I wanted to make sure there was no problem with my ssd ( i had gotten an error) So i installed windows on my HDD but it still powered off.

I thought maybe the psu was not getting enough air flow, so i turned my hyper 212 + so the fans are pointing down, rather than the back. ( The gpu is cool anyways, and i dont plan on overclocking it.) It appears to be less frequent but still occuring.

Btw the psu is top mounted on this crappy case i have until my CM HAF 912 comes in tommarrow.

I have also changed the dimm the ram module is in, but still did nothing.

Sorry for long post, but i could use some assistance. I just built the pc last monday and it has been good all except for this.

Either it overheats or its broken if it is the PSU that is the problem that is

Fastest way to rule it out is to try another PSU
