permanent relidding?

Thread Starter
has anyone permanently reattached their IHS after removing the OEM glue and swapping the TIM?

If so, what did you use and why?

Should this be concidered an optional step to the delidding process? I'm guessing smearing a thin line of silicone along the edge with or a bit of loctite to hold it in place again?

Any long term consequences (5 years) to leaving the IHS semi-permanent?

I look forward to your thoughts and ideas!

Why does it need to be attached permanently? Don't mess around trying to do stuff like that, its not going anywhere that's unnecessary. Its just going to cause problems for no benefit.
