I know this is the motherboard section but I thought maybe someone would know something. I currently have a gigabyte 970-a-ud3 mobo and it says it has 6 sata 3 ports on it and there are only 6 so im assuming all the ports are sata 3. Now to my point I have my 840 plugged into the 2nd port with my 2tb hdd in port 0 and my boot ssd in port 1. When I run a benchmark I get 520mbs read and 350mbs wright triple and double my hdd read and wright speed except when i install a program or run a game (the 840 is where i store all my games) it takes about a 2 minuets to install dead space 2 wich is about 6 or 7 gigabytes of data and than it takes twice as long to load the games as my hdd did! I have read on some forums that intel users plugged there ssd's into the wrong port that was not an intel controller and it slowed the ssd down considerably I was just wondering if amd had the same thing with its mobo's?
