What's the status on this? Absolutely love the idea of the front panel. Plan on using mine to make a server and would love to see how you pull off the front.

I will be getting back to working on the project when things settle down in real life soon.

Still working on finding a donor, no success yet so I may just have to purchase one on eBay. I also have a new layout in mind so the back of the case will be getting the same treatment as the front. biggrin.gif

Making the I/O face downward?

Either upward or downward, waiting on getting donor case to decide. I'm going for a reversed ATX either way though.

I say facing down, facing up would ruin the clean look unless you put a cover over it

It'll all be internal so as to keep the clean sexy lines.

Thanks! I'm getting my hands on the parts I need to mod the case so I should have updates soon FINALLY! I'm also working out a deal with a guy that welds aluminum. He can weld pop cans together so he'll be able to weld up what I need. I'm trying to avoid using jb weld and the like on the mesh.

This is my idea of removing all original I/O panels and optical drive cut-outs from the front and making it full mesh and super sexy!

Holy crap. I was wondering how you were going to pull that through. I see you have a guy that will weld those pieces in and make it look like rendering above. Wow I should have sent you more so your boy could have done one up for me too lol.

Are you going to paint/powercoat the case afterwards? Glass black would look sweet! thumb.gif Can't wait to see updates once you get those pieces welded in!

I'm going to end up painting the case, was planning on doing a glossy silver/black theme but that is still up in the air. I most likely wont decide until near the end.

BTW, thanks for the parts! thumb.gif
