How's my 33% OC...? (& thanks 4 the help)

I have been struggling to OC my AMD winnie 3000+ since I got a new mobo las year when I upgraded to PCI-E. After recently joining this forum I was able to identify my problem and have since been working on a stable OC. Just wanted to say THANK YOU for the info! It's been a long time since i have been abel to run anything other than stock speeds.

Here's what I'm currently running :

AMD winnie 3000+ OC 2.4ghz @ 1.6v w/ full load temps currently @ 48'C
Arctic cooling freezer 64 pro HSF w/arctic silver thermal paste
ASUS A8N-E Nforce4 Ultra mobo w/passive zalman chipset cooler @ 32'C under full load (intake fan provides active cooling)
1GB (2x512) Crucial Ballistix pc3200 OC to DDR 533 @ 2.9v w/active fan cooling (2.5-3-3-6 timings)
Gigabyte Silent 7600 GT w/passive cooling (stock speed)
WD 160GB 7200rpm HD w/ 8mb cache (IDE 100 )
Antec 350 watt Smart PSU & case

Edit: Changed PCI-X to PCI-E

That is a respectable OC you have, with some fairly tight RAM timings. IMHO - Good job!

was about to say the same thing. There's actually PCI-X and then there's PCI-express which are two different busses. PCI-X is a technology that's gone by the wayside...wrong place wrong time.

nice overclock though. that ballistix ram is some mean stuff.

Looking at upgrading to an Opty 170 denmark/Athlon 4400 Teledo & 2GB of G.SKill that I put in a friends rig which runs like a champ sometime in march maybe, but this OC will do until I get there. I'd be shooting for a 3ghz OCed duel core CPU w/DDR 500+ running on the ram. I'd probably need a new PSU though and that puts me way over my current budget at todays prices. I do so hope prices continue to fall...but thats not typically the nature of recently discontinued stuff.

(Curse you AM2 , wanted to wait for AMD's next gen before I build again)
